Impact Filtration®’s Manufacturing Partner, ROPV®, Earns EcoVadis Silver Rating at the 92nd Percentile

July 7, 2026

The rating provides engineers, EPCs, and procurement teams with third-party confirmation that the manufacturing practices behind ROPV pressure vessels meet internationally benchmarked sustainability standards

WINTER PARK, FL — July 7, 2026 — Impact Filtration, international partner and exclusive distributor for ROPV pressure vessels, announces that Harbin ROPV Industrial Co., Ltd. has been awarded an EcoVadis Silver rating, achieving an overall score of 77 out of 100 and placing in the 92nd percentile of all companies assessed by EcoVadis globally. The rating, published March 30, 2026, and valid through March 2027, was earned through an independent evaluation of ROPV’s sustainability management system across environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, assessing more than 100,000 companies across 175 countries. Silver is awarded exclusively to companies ranking in the top 15% of all assessed organizations; a threshold that has become progressively more rigorous as global ESG standards have evolved. ROPV’s 92nd-percentile standing places it among the top 8% of all manufacturers evaluated worldwide.

When Procurement Asks the Questions Most Supply Chains Cannot Answer

For decades, pressure vessels have been evaluated at the point of purchase based on price, product specifications, and delivery lead time. Rarely has scrutiny extended upstream to the manufacturing environment itself: how a vessel was produced, under what labor conditions, with what environmental accountability, and within what ethical governance framework.

The EcoVadis rating answers those questions with independently audited data. It is not a manufacturer self-declaration or a product-level certification. It is a comprehensive assessment of ROPV’s sustainability management system, conducted by external analysts who evaluate documented evidence against 21 sustainability criteria.

Our customers operate in some of the most demanding water infrastructure environments in the world,” said Raul Ramos, Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications at Impact Filtration. “When they specify a pressure vessel, they are making a decision that will affect system reliability for decades. What ROPV’s EcoVadis Silver rating now gives them, for the first time, is independent verification that the supply chain behind that decision has been held to the same standard of accountability as the engineering itself. That is not a marketing claim. It is a third-party audit result.

ROPV’s scorecard reflects an Environment score of 80/100, a Labor & Human Rights score of 79/100, an Ethics score of 70/100, and a Sustainable Procurement score of 70/100. Critically, ROPV achieved perfect scores of 100/100 in both the Policies and Certifications indicators, confirming that sustainability commitments at the manufacturing level are institutionally embedded and externally verified, not aspirational language.

Supply Chain Integrity as an Extension of Engineering Integrity

Impact Filtration has long positioned engineering integrity as the defining standard for FRP pressure vessel specifications, arguing that the true cost of a vessel is measured not at procurement but over decades of operation. ROPV’s EcoVadis rating extends that argument into the manufacturing domain: integrity is not only a property of the vessel in the field, but of the system that produces it.

ROPV FRP pressure vessels are independently validated for service lives exceeding 30 years through Arrhenius-based accelerated aging models and finite-element fatigue simulation. Each vessel that reaches its designed lifespan avoids approximately 200 kg of resin and fiber materials and prevents an estimated 1–2 metric tons of embedded CO₂ from manufacturing and transport, making vessel longevity itself a measurable environmental outcome.

Sustainability credentials in the water industry have historically been attached to plant-level performance: energy intensity, water recovery, carbon footprint of operations,” said Alejandro Sturniolo, Head of Sustainability at Impact Filtration. “What has been consistently overlooked is the embedded impact of the equipment that makes those plants function. ROPV’s EcoVadis Silver rating shifts that conversation upstream, where it belongs. A 92nd-percentile standing among global manufacturers is not an incremental achievement; it is a signal that sustainability has been built into the foundation of how these vessels are made, not retrofitted into how they are marketed.

A Credential That Travels with Every Specification

As ESG due diligence requirements become standard across project finance, multilateral development bank procurement, and public water authority tendering globally, the ability to document supply chain sustainability has shifted from a differentiator to a baseline expectation. ROPV’s EcoVadis Silver rating gives Impact Filtration’s customers a verified, portable credential; one that can be cited in project documentation, procurement submissions, and sustainability reporting with the confidence of independent third-party backing.
