Toray Launches Alumni Website to Enhance Commitment to People-Centric Management

July 30, 2025

Tokyo, Japan, July 31, 2025 – Toray Industries, Inc., announced today that it has launched an alumni website to provide corporate and recruiting information to former employees. This initiative is part of a strategy under Project AP-G 2025, the company’s medium-term management program, to enhance people-centric management.

Companies increasingly recognize the value of former employees and are building alumni networks to tap into these connections and unlock new value. The website will regularly provide registered members with messages from senior management, internal news, event announcements, employee interviews, and other content to deepen interest in the company. It will also share information on re-employment opportunities.

Rehirings at Toray have risen in recent years as many former employees who left for personal or professional reasons now seek to return. These people help enhance organizational flexibility, expand Toray’s knowledge base, and revitalize its culture by applying skills and experience they gained elsewhere. The website will help accelerate this positive trend.

Toray remains committed to building a diverse workforce and fostering a culture that empowers all employees to grow and take on new challenges, thereby making the organization more dynamic.

People-centric management will remain a core principle at Toray heading toward its centennial in 2026. As outlined in AP-G 2025, the company will continue to deepen this approach in driving to become a truly sustainable company.
