The project also includes 6 strategic storage tanks in Riyadh with a total capacity of 1,020,000 cubic meters, in addition to 32 operational tanks along the pipeline route with a total capacity of 571,000 cubic meters. The project will integrate solar power solutions to reduce carbon emissions while relying on the grid.

The project was tendered under a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model, attracting 31 companies, including 19 Saudi firms. Project commercial operation is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2030, with a concession of a 35-year term starting from the commercial operation date.
