Sacyr secures €13.584 billion in new projects, up 41% across all three business lines in 2025

February 23, 2026

  • Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructures’ backlog reached a record high of €12.5 billion, marking a robust 18% increase. Works for Concessions account for 73% of this total.
  • Sacyr Water closed the year with a backlog of €6.979 billion, a 45% surge.

Sacyr secured new projects valued at €13.584 billion in 2025, representing a 41% increase compared to 2024.

All three of the company’s business lines contributed to this growth. Concessions secured €6.802 billion (+7%), Engineering and Infrastructure added €4.179 billion (+33%), and Water saw a boost with €2.603 billion in new contracts, a rise from €113 million in 2024.

Key project awards in 2025 include the concessions in Chile for Ruta del Itata (Northern Access to Concepción), Ruta 68 (Santiago-Valparaíso-Viña del Mar), and Ruta del Itata (North Access to Concepción), and Sacyr Water’s flagship project: the Antofagasta Water Reuse Plant.

Internationally, Sacyr’s achievements last year included securing the concessions for the Turin Health Campus and Novara’s new City of Health and Science in Italy, the concession for access roads to Asunción on Routes 2 and 7 in Paraguay, and the construction of Dublin Airport’s vehicle underpass.

In Spain, Sacyr added contracts totaling €1,033 million, primarily within the construction sector (€930 million). Among these was the €150 million expansion of Madrid Metro Line 5. Sacyr Water’s contracts in Spain amounted to €103 million.

Sacyr’s overall backlog concluded 2025 at €67.4 billion, reflecting a 6% increase, or €3,852 million.

Specifically, the Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructures backlog climbed to an all-time high of €12.470 billion, demonstrating a strong 18% increase. 73% of this figure pertains to work for Concessions, up from 71% the previous year.

Sacyr Water’s backlog soared to €6,979 million, up 45%, largely driven by a major project award in Chile: the largest reuse plant in Latin America.

Sacyr Concessions reports a backlog of €47.7 billion, a figure similar to the previous year after the deconsolidation of €3.5 billion following the divestment of three concessions in Colombia.
