GS Inima acquires The Fenazar solar park in Murcia, Spain

January 15, 2025

  • This operation is a testament to GS Inima’s commitment to the transformation towards a more sustainable energy future.
  • The Fenazar Project is GS Inima’s second investment in renewable energies.

GS Inima, a world leader in environmental services, related to the integral water and energy cycle and positioned as one of the groups with the largest volume of plants in terms of concessions, closed in December the acquisition of a 30,12 MWp solar photovoltaic plant located in Molina de Segura (Murcia, Spain).

This new project will use bifacial modules and solar tracking technology, and is expected to generate almost 60,000 MWh per year, equivalent to the consumption of more than 5,500 households. The construction of the facility is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025 and will take approximately two years, with an estimated commissioning date of 2027. As the project has been procured at an advanced stage of development, with all the necessary permits already obtained, an immediate start of construction and a fast-track execution is guaranteed.

“We are proud of our team’s achievements, which have been essential to optimise our portfolio and strengthen our position in the solar PV market. We are encouraged by the growth of our presence in Spain and our role in the energy transition. With this investment, we will expand our installed capacity and reinforce our commitment to clean and sustainable energy generation” Diego Vera, Chief Business Development Officer, GS Inima.

The Fenazar Project represents another substantial addition to GS Inima’s growing renewable energy footprint, following the acquisition in early 2024 of the 8,7 MWp Boco Solar PV plant, comprising two PV power plants located in the Valparaiso region of Chile.
