Beijing Captain and KSM Water introduce NX Filtration’s HFNF technology for safe and healthy drinking water systems in office environments

October 20, 2025

Beijing, Hengelo – October 20, 2025 – NX Filtration, the global provider of hollow fiber nanofiltration (HFNF) membrane technology, announces a new milestone in decentralized water purification. Together with Beijing Captain Science Co., Ltd and KSM Water, NX Filtration’s membranes have been implemented in a unique project that brings chemical-free, safe, and mineral-balanced drinking water to office environments across Beijing.

This installation marks the first global deployment of NX Filtration’s HFNF membranes in office buildings, showcasing how advanced nanofiltration can deliver high-quality drinking water directly at the point of use — safely, sustainably, and without chemical additives.

Customer perspective: health, innovation, and trust

“As a company that puts employee health first, we wanted to ensure that the water we drink every day is truly safe and beneficial,” says Mr. Pei Meng, President of Beijing Captain Science Co., Ltd.

“NX Filtration’s membrane technology offers a perfect balance — removing pollutants like PFAS and heavy metals while keeping essential minerals that support well-being. It’s innovation that people can taste and trust.”.

“The application of NX Filtration’s HFNF technology in office environments demonstrates how advanced filtration can be compact, reliable, and sustainable,”adds Mr. Victor Lang, President of Beijing KSM Water Co., Ltd.

“This is not just a water purification solution — it’s a new standard for healthy living in modern workplaces.”

Technology that combines performance and sustainability

NX Filtration’s HFNF membranes selectively remove micro-pollutants, bacteria, viruses, and color while retaining essential minerals such as calcium and magnesium. Operating at low pressure, the membranes offer low energy consumption and high water recovery, reducing both operational costs and environmental footprint.

The technology has been selected by the European Union’s LIFE PRISTINE programme for its contribution to sustainable water treatment and has become a benchmark in environmentally responsible filtration.

No chemical pre-treatment or post-conditioning is required, enabling a truly chemical-free process with minimal waste generation.

“This project underlines how our HFNF technology can be scaled from large industrial systems down to point-of-use applications,” says Floris Jan Cuypers, CEO of NX Filtration. “It is a great example of technology and partnerships coming together to make clean and healthy water available for everyone — also in everyday environments like offices.”

Expanding NX Filtration’s reach

With installations spanning from municipal and industrial reuse projects in Europe, India, and Latin America to decentralized systems such as this one in China, NX Filtration continues to strengthen its position as a global frontrunner in sustainable membrane technology.
The collaboration with KSM Water and Beijing Captain Science Co., Ltd highlights the growing international interest in chemical-free, PFAS-free drinking water solutions that align with both public health and ESG objectives.
