Haskoning partners with NX Filtration to enhance water reuse solutions for Nereda® Verdygo® Package Plants

June 4, 2026

NX Filtration and Haskoning today announced a partnership to strengthen the water reuse capability of the Nereda® Verdygo® Package Plants (NVPP) with NX Filtration’s advanced nanofiltration system. The collaboration supports the growing global demand for decentralised and high quality water treatment solutions.

Partnership for decentralised water reuse
The Nereda® Verdygo® Package Plant combines Nereda® aerobic granular sludge technology with a compact, modular and mobile design, enabling efficient wastewater treatment close to the source. By integrating NX Filtration’s Hollow Fiber Nanofiltration (HFNF) technology into the concept, the solution can additionally remove a broad spectrum of micropollutants, including pharmaceutical residues, colour and selective salts, while producing high quality reuse water suitable for a wide range of applications.

Combining proven technologies
The combined solution is designed for decentralised water reuse applications in regions facing water scarcity, locations with stricter discharge requirements, and industrial or municipal sites requiring flexible treatment capacity for smaller wastewater streams. The modular character of the NVPP also makes the solution suitable for remote areas and changing local water needs.

Management comments
“Water reuse is becoming increasingly important in regions across the world where water availability, water quality and environmental regulations continue to tighten. By combining the flexibility and compact footprint of the Nereda Verdygo Package Plants with our Hollow Fiber Nanofiltration technology, we can help deliver high quality reuse water locally, with limited chemical usage and a relatively low energy footprint.”
Floris Jan Cuypers, CEO of NX Filtration

“With the Nereda® Verdygo® Package Plants, we have developed a compact and modular solution designed for decentralised wastewater treatment and reuse. Having NX Filtration as nanofiltration partner strengthens this concept by enabling additional removal of micropollutants and selective salts, allowing us to deliver high‑quality reuse water for a wide range of local applications.”
