  • The Group joins the celebration of World Environment Day with the publication of its Sustainability Report
  • 62% of the energy consumed by the company in 2025 came from renewable sources, a 44% increased compared to the previous year

Madrid, 5 June, 2026. Lantania joins today’s celebration of World Environment Day, promoted by the United Nations (UN), and reaffirms its environmental commitment with the publication of its 2025 Sustainability Report. The report, prepared in accordance with the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) established under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), outlines the Group’s main progress in energy efficiency, circular economy, decarbonisation and environmental management.

During 2025, Lantania has strengthened its sustainability strategy through advances in renewable energy use, waste recovery and material reuse. The company increased its share of electricity from renewable sources to 62% of its total consumption, driven by the procurement of certified renewable electricity and the deployment of self-consumption initiatives. This represents a 44% increase compared to the previous financial year and consolidates the Group’s commitment to decarbonizing its operations.

In the area of waste management, Lantania has further progressed in the application of circular economy principles and compliance with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle established under the EU Taxonomy, prioritizing prevention, reuse and recovery over disposal. The company has significantly exceeded the European recovery target for construction and demolition waste (CDW), with more than 90% of the 33,614 tons generated being directed to recovery operations or pre-treatment processes leading to final recovery.

The company has also promoted the reuse of excavation materials across various infrastructure projects, contributing to a reduction in raw material consumption and in the environmental impacts associated with transport and waste management.

Climate action remains one of Lantania’s key sustainability priorities. In this context, its Carbon Footprint Reduction and Offset Plan set out the roadmap towards a more efficient business model with progressively lower emissions. The plan is based on the annual calculation and verification of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3, in accordance with ISO 14064.

Among the initiatives deployed under this strategy is a pilot project aimed at introducing renewable diesel in construction machinery, with the objective of reducing emissions associated with construction activities. The company plans to progressively extend this solution to additional projects, supporting the transition towards lower-impact operational models.

Lantania is also participating in the Fontefría carbon sink project, a reforestation initiative located in Castrelo do Val (Ourense, Spain), which contributes to carbon sequestration and ecological restoration of the area.

These actions reflect the company’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and continuously improving its environmental performance. All of this is underpinned by certified environmental and energy management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
