Espírito Santo Saneamento brings together 35 municipalities and consolidates GS Inima’s historic investment plan in Brazil

June 10, 2026

Espírito Santo Saneamento, a GS Inima group company, has held a strategic meeting with the mayors and representatives of the 35 municipalities that integrate the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) formalized alongside the state-owned utility CESAN. The event, which marks a milestone in water management across the region, featured the participation of State Governor Ricardo Ferraço and CESAN CEO Munir Abud, reinforcing the solidity of a collaboration designed to transform the north and northwest of the state.

Under the core pillars of technological innovation and social commitment, the project consolidates itself as one of the most ambitious urban developments in Espírito Santo. The strategic plan projects an investment of approximately €133 million (R$ 800 million) during the first five years of the concession, a figure that will exceed €200 million (over R$ 1.2 billion) throughout the 25-year lifecycle of the contract.

Infrastructure that builds trust and security

This historic investment will translate into cutting-edge engineering solutions aimed at expanding coverage and maximizing operational efficiency across the entire region:

New Collection Networks: Construction of over 750 km of pipelines to significantly expand sewage network coverage.
Pumping Stations: Installation of 140 units to guarantee the efficient transport of effluents to treatment sites.
Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs): Construction of 39 new plants equipped with advanced technological systems.
Force Mains: Deployment of 67 km of pipelines, conduits, and pumping systems essential for service continuity.

Every project goes far beyond infrastructure. Universal access will ensure that basic sanitation reaches everyone, transforming the reality of thousands of families in Espírito Santo” Paulo Roberto de Oliveira, CEO de GS Inima Brazil.

Anticipating the future of sanitation

Through this strategic planning, Espírito Santo Saneamento commits to achieving universal service coverage by the year 2031. In doing so, the GS Inima subsidiary will anticipate by two years the national deadline established by Brazil’s Legal Framework for Sanitation for 2033, demonstrating its technical capacity and its urgency to generate a positive impact on the environment.

Sanitation is health, it is dignity, and it is the future. Our goal is to guarantee that every citizen across these 35 cities has access to quality services that directly impact their quality of life,” Paulo Roberto de Oliveira, CEO de GS Inima Brazil.

This meeting not only consolidates the start of the operational phase but also lays the foundations for a lasting environmental and social legacy. With this deployment, GS Inima reaffirms its position as a global benchmark in integrated water cycle management and a strategic partner in the sustainable development of the communities where it operates.
