Danfoss publishes 2026 Climate Transition Plan

May 26, 2026

Following the recent announcement of our updated, SBTi-approved decarbonization targets, today we released our 2026 Climate Transition Plan.

Our updated plan outlines how we will continue to drive competitive decarbonization and advance on our targets to decarbonize Danfoss by 2030 and achieve net-zero across our value chain by 2050. The plan was approved by the Danfoss Board of Directors and subsequently by shareholders at the Danfoss Annual General Meeting on April 22, 2026.

The report outlines our sequenced “Reduce, Reuse, Re-source” competitive decarbonization approach that we apply at Danfoss and develop for our customers. We first reduce our energy consumption, secondly reuse energy through increased energy recovery, and lastly re-source renewable energy and transition to more sustainable fuel sources. The plan also highlights the positive impact Danfoss solutions make on our customers’ decarbonization efforts in a competitive way, quantified as avoided emissions.

At Danfoss, our purpose is clear: we engineer a better future. With sustainability at the core of our business, we drive competitiveness for both Danfoss and our customers. With the publication of our 2026 Climate Transition Plan, we are demonstrating transparency, continued progress, and a proven decarbonization strategy“, Thomas M. Auerbach, SVP, Chief Sustainability Officer & Head of Danfoss Finance Functions.
