NX Filtration, the global provider of hollow fiber membrane filtration technology for pure and affordable water, is supporting a long-standing partner, BOSAQ, in delivering emergency drinking water systems to communities in Ukraine through its humanitarian initiative Water Heroes.

Water Heroes provides safe and clean drinking water to people affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine. As part of this initiative, BOSAQ developed Q-Drop Yellowstone, a compact, modular drinking water purification system that uses NX Filtration’s Hollow Fiber Nanofiltration (HFNF) membrane technology.

The Q-Drop Yellowstone systems are designed for rapid deployment and reliable operation under disaster-relief conditions in cities such as Kharkiv and Mykolaiv. Each stand-alone unit produces up to 1,000 liters of safe drinking water per hour from borehole water, providing a sustainable alternative to bottled water, reducing plastic waste and supply risks.

Several Q-Drop Yellowstone systems are currently deployed in Ukraine, supplying safe drinking water every day. BOSAQ engineers continue to support local partners to ensure reliable operation under challenging conditions.

NX Filtration was happy to contribute to this humanitarian effort by providing its HFNF membrane technology, enabling robust, energy-efficient and high-quality water treatment even from difficult source waters.
