December 15, 2025

  • Recognized for its dedication to environmental responsibility, Italmatch Chemicals demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and climate action

Italmatch Chemicals is proud to announce the achievement of the A rating in the CDP Climate Change 2025 assessment, entering the A-List of global leaders for transparency, governance and performance in tackling climate change. CDP is an international non-profit organization that every year evaluates around 23.000 companies on how they manage, monitor and disclose climate-related risks and opportunities.

The Group is now in the top 2% of the companies worldwide placing Italmatch among the companies that follow current best practices in climate leadership.

“This rating reaffirms our commitment to our ESG strategy and to decarbonisation and the meaningful steps we have taken forward. ESG is essential to shaping our long-term strategy and creating lasting value for the environment, our stakeholders, and the communities around us” commented Maurizio Turci, Italmatch Chemicals Group General Manager Corporate.

In 2024 Italmatch had its emission reduction target approved by SBTi and we are committed to achieve, by 2030, an emission reduction of 42% of Scope 1+2 emissions and of 25% of scope3 emissions and the emission trend of the year is aligned with the target achievement in the target year

This achievement was only possible thanks to great teamwork across the entire group: from aligning our decarbonization pathway with science-based targets, to expanding high-quality Scope 3 data collection and integrating climate-risk analysis into strategic decision-making. It demonstrates how all functions can work together as one to accelerate our transition toward a low-carbon business model” underlined Claudio Pirani, Group ESG and Sustainability Manager.
