OCP Green Water, a subsidiary of OCP Group dedicated to non-conventional water production, has secured MAD 6 billion (USD 620 million) in financing with the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion.

Placed by CDG Capital, this financing was approved by the Autorité Marocaine du Marché des Capitaux (AMMC) and sourced from qualified institutional investors to support the expansion of OCP Group’s hashtag#desalination capacity.

By 2030, OCP Green Water aims to produce 630 million m³ of desalinated water per year, meeting 100% of OCP Group’s non-conventional hashtag#water needs and contributing to the supply of nearby urban and agricultural areas.

By mobilizing financing through capital markets, OCP Green Water benefits from optimal conditions to drive its expansion and strengthen OCP Group’s sustainability goals and commitment to industrial efficiency. “This financing marks a key milestone in our sustainable water strategy,” said Ahmed Znibar, CEO of OCP Green Water. “It reinforces our shared commitment with CDG Group to strengthen Morocco’s water resilience.”
